Job Description

Despatch Operative Full-Time & Perm Dungannon Area Salary Negotiable Hours: 7am - 4pm (Monday to Friday, 1 in 3 Saturday's required with day off in lieu the following week and 1 in 6 Sunday's required from 7.00am to 12.00pm) Company A significant player in the agri-food sector to major retailers in Northern Ireland and mainland UK. Job To assist the Despatch Manager and Team Leader in planning, organising and controlling despatch to ensure goods are despatched efficiently and cost effectively while also ensuring food safety, legality and quality. Picking, building and palletising orders for depots and maximising the amount of product on a pallet while adhering to the requirements of each individual customer When building orders onto pallets, adhere to customer requirements and stipulation using oldest stock first and ensuring the product still has minimum life into depot Writing pallet sheets for designated depots ensuring all products are accounted for and product totals are correct Stacking and strapping shippers Ensure implementation and adherence to Health & Safety, hygiene and security procedures Determine and implement improvements in despatch where possible Report and monitor maintenance issues Promote good equal opportunities practice and contribute towards achieving and maintaining a positive working environment Criteria: Lorry loading experience Counter-balance forklift licence Knowledge of pallet trucks (A1 & A2) Level 2 Food Safety in Manufacturing (Our client reserves the right to expand on the above criteria to facilitate shortlisting) APPLY TODAY Our client is committed to equality of opportunity and welcomes applications from all sections of the community
