The Role A great opportunity to join our busy Despatch Team. We are looking to a proactive and confident individual to ensure all warehouse operational tasks are completed and delivered in an accurate, efficient, timely and safe manner. Providing internal and external customers with a consistent, first class service. Candidates will demonstrate flexible leadership, team spirit and operational cover when required within the Logistics Group. Duties and Responsibilities * Ensure all customers' requirements are met on time and to specification * To ensure that Food Safety systems are always maintained * Manage and schedule the team of Despatch Operatives to cover seasonal needs of the department * Identify staff training requirements for Team Leaders and Operators and implement where necessary * Plan and co-ordinate despatch operations with the Production/Farm teams and the relevant hauliers * Reported any allocation issues and deal with as appropriate * Maintain accurate records of Load Plans, Delivery Notes, Scanner and MHE Start Up checks * Conduct weekly GMP audits and Behavioural Safety Tours once during each shift * Conduct audit of Safety Sampling audits and record as appropriate * Lead by example * Ensure adherence of staff to all trained SOPs and Risk Assessments and delivered TBT's Requirements Required Skills & Experience * Able to communicate effectively in English to Level 2 or higher * IT literature to a high standard in the use of Microsoft Office package * Demonstrable experience of successfully working in a targeted environment and motivating self to meet targets * Experience of working in a FMCG / Fresh food environment * CIEH Manual Handling Level 2 * CIEH Food Safety Level 3 * HACCP Level 2 * IOSH Managing Safety * Forklift / Counter Balance Licence/PPT Licence Benefits Why Work for Barfoots? * Investors in People Silver Award * Company pension scheme * Discounted leisure membership * Discounted vegetable box scheme * Cycle to work scheme * Approved centre for Highfield qualifications * Free on-site parking * Committed to sustainability
