Header Dispatch - Kingston Hospital Position Summary * To load and distribute sterile instrumentation and medical products around the hospital. To collect and deliver contaminated medical devices back to the unit. To ensure the area at the back of theatres is free from rubbish and linen. Duties To assist in providing an effective and efficient customer liaison service so that all STERIS customers receive a quality service. Ensure that effective communications are maintained between customers and STERIS personnel and that prompt action is taken for service requests or complaints. Co-ordinate deliveries and collections to relevant wards and clinical areas. Ensure that company policies and procedures are maintained, particularly compliance with the required Health and Safety procedures and guidelines. To collect contaminated medical devices and return to the collection point. Duties - cont'd To take a flexible approach to work within the Decontamination service. To participate in staff development and training initiatives. To safely operate and monitor machines and equipment To act responsibly when manoeuvring trollies and be aware of the general public. To undertake any other duties or tasks as reasonably required within the laundry department.
