Job Description
Are you an experienced Programme Manager, looking for a new challenge, enabling and delivering a wide a range of digital change and transformation across a large organisation? Haringey Council are looking to appoint a Programme Manager to join their Digital Services. Haringey uses the latest technologies to support and provide efficient services to a vibrant community of over 250,000 residents and businesses and enabling around 3,000 staff. Working in Digital Services means you will join a committed, diverse and ambitious team helping to make the borough a better place for all. You will be making a real difference to citizens and businesses, through support of over 80 teams across the Council including Customer Services, Adult Social Care, Children's Services, Housing, Environmental Services and many others. Job Responsibilities You will be key to the delivery of our digital strategy, driving innovation around moving services online and implementing technologies that will drive efficiencies and better engagement for our services and community. You will be responsible for providing effective leadership and management for major projects that will contribute to the continuous improvement of the Council. Leading, motivating and inspiring a small team of project managers you will be responsible for successfully delivering major projects, often as part of wider change programmes. As a senior role within the Programme team you will take ownership of budgets in excess of £1million working with the wider digital team to ensure project governance, quality and best practice is in place to enable the successful delivery of projects and programmes. There is opportunity to help shape the development of the Portfolio Office including continuous improvement of Digital Portfolio processes and tools as well as the wider development of the Digital Services function. Core Skills The successful candidate will have: * Experience of managing large digital change programmes and projects within fast-paced, large and delivery focused environments, using a variety of methodologies and techniques including Prince2 and Agile. * Experience of defining, documenting and managing full programme and project lifecycle within a complex environment from inception through to implementation, including resource, budget and change management. * Experience of managing and motivating project teams including experience of managing internal and external resources as part of large programmes of working * Experience of building and maintaining collaborative relationships across organisational boundaries and stakeholder groups including internal and external partners to enable the smooth delivery of complex projects. * Confidence and gravitas to work credibly with senior stakeholders. * The ability to explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues, and to write clear reports and other formal documentation for solution evaluations and deployments is essential.
