Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to work within Gateway G, Daycase surgery, based in the Treatment Centre at Nottingham University Hospitals Trust. Gateway G is the Daycase department where we carry out routine operations for patients whether this is a Daycase surgery or overnight stay, as well as their pre-assessment. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the department for a Waiting list Co-ordinator. The post holder will work as part of a team of Waiting list Co-ordinators for various consultants, managing their inpatient and day case waiting lists in accordance with government access policies. They will oversee and schedule theatre lists, and associated pre-operative assessment clinics. The post holder will also play a key central role within the services and will be required to work in close liaison with consultants, pre-op teams, NHS colleagues, patients and the general public. You may also be required to cover other members of the waiting list team and the reception team in periods of absence or leave. You will work closely with all members of the nursing team including our pre-assessment nurses and also the ward nurses liaising with the band 6 team as and when necessary, contributing to the development of a highly skilled workforce. You will work alongside the rest of our admin team to provide a friendly, efficient service for patients. You will also cross-cover with other theatre administrators as and when required.
