*Vascular -full and part time Registered Nurse vacancies available* Salary: 24,907 - 30,615 per annum pro rata PLUS 2,000 welcome bonus and up to 8,000 relocation expenses (subject to terms and conditions ). This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and dynamic team on the newly established specialist vascular surgery ward, Denton. Following recent reorganisation there are a number of vacancies for talented and motivated nurses to support the ongoing expansion of the entire vascular service. We will be providing a range of new and exciting care packages for our patients, including a development of the Interventional Radiology department which will increase the number of endovascular procedures being undertaken. Denton ward works as a close and integrated team, bringing together consultants, doctors, nurses and other care staff to provide patient centric care. Our team includes Vascular Specialist Nurses who support the ward, as well as working in clinic; and a nurse who specialises in Amputee care, who has helped set up a specialist amputee gym on the ward to support patients in begining their rehabilitation as early as possible. Denton provides excellent opportunities for nurses to further develop their skills and competencies, whilst providing care to patients, many of whom have complex surgery or extensive wounds which require careful management. The ward management team provide a strong focus on supporting the nursing team, including: * Supporting the development of wound care skills * Ensuring all registered nurses receive training in larvae therapy and vacuum assisted closure therapy * Organising experience in theatres to provide a fuller understanding of patient care needs * Providing shadowing opportunities in interventional radiology and with specialist nurses On joining the team, you can expect a period of supernumerary shifts and a robust induction, including the agreement of a personal development plan based on your current skills and future aspirations within the specialist vascular service. Denton Ward operates a full shift pattern of days, nights and weekends. The day shifts commence at 07:00 until 19:30 and nights 19:00 until 07:30. Why the NNUH?
