We are inviting applications from experienced midwives, with post registration experience (in addition to any preceptorship package) for Band 6 midwife positions to work within both hospital and community settings joining our friendly, supportive team. Our maternity service provides care for approximately 6,000 deliveries per year. We have 8 teams providing community based midwifery services. Our in-patient facilities include 29 postnatal beds incorporating 5 transitional care beds, and 13 antenatal beds. The Delivery Suite/Triage area has 15 birthing rooms including a birthing pool, 2 obstetric theatres, anaesthetic and recovery rooms, providing a full range of facilities for high dependency care. A more recent addition to our services includes a Maternity Assessment Unit, which offers a resource for women to attend and be reviewed as required. We have a co-located Midwifery Led Birthing Unit which comprises of four birthing rooms with waterbirth facilities available. We have a commitment to provide one-to-one care to all women in established labour. We are proud to have achieved and maintained BFI level 3 accreditation and are working towards the National Standards within our service development action plan. Hours of Work : as this is a Bank vacancy, the hours/ shifts will vary. Our Team work a variety of shifts, predominantly long days and night shifts, with some availability of shorter early and late shifts, covering a 24 hour service every day of the year.
