We are proud of our heritage in innovation and we are early adopters of new insights in technologies, techniques and treatments for improving health. _____________________________________________________________ We are looking for an outstanding individual to come and work with us in our Cancer Performance and Improvement Team. The Trust is one of the best performing cancer tertiary centres in the country with consistently strong cancer waiting times performance and excellent clinical outcomes for our cancer patients. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the continuous reduction of patient access times across our cancer pathways, liaising with internal and external partners to do so, to support our multidisciplinary teams and to guide services in how to build improvements in patient experience, pathway redesign and clinical innovation into how they work. The post holder will be expected to contribute to Cancer Waiting Times performance reporting and analysis, highlighting trends and risks to clinical and operational management teams to enable performance improvements. The post holder will provide compressive breach validation and analysis in accordance with Cancer Waiting Times guidance and local policy. The post holder will undertake specific projects to support clinical services improve patient pathways, patient experience, and improve efficiencies within both the clinical services and the Cancer Performance and Improvement Team. You will support a team of 25 administrators and be given the appropriate levels of autonomy and support to deliver exceptional patient outcomes to a very demanding budget. You will join an established team of experienced managers who provide peer level support. You will certainly need energy and resilience, but you will have the support and backing of the senior team in the Division and across the Trust. You will raise your profile and enhance your reputation as a person who delivers results for the improvement of patient care. The Division of Surgery, Cancer & Cardiovascular has income of almost 0.3 Billion, employs 4,000 staff and forms the largest Division at Imperial, one of the largest Academic Health Science Centres in the country. The Cancer Performance and Improvement Team is led by the Divisional Director, the Trust Lead Cancer Nurse and the Head of Cancer Performance and Improvement (into whom you will report).
