" Would you be excited by the opportunity to use your project management skills and concern for our planet to become an authoritative voice on food loss and waste issues ? If that sounds like you, you could be the passionate expert we need for a new role of Food-Loss and Waste Programme Manager. As part of the team at the world's leading independent conservation organisation, you will oversee work in our ground-breaking partnership with Tesco which seeks to deliver sustainable, healthy and affordable food for all. As Food-Loss and Waste Programme Manager, you will play an important role in an ambitious 10 year food strategy tackling some of the systemic issues to drive more sustainable food production and consumption to restore nature. Your remit will be to lead the food loss workstream for the partnership , developing and delivering strategy and workplans. Working closely with Tesco, you will build knowledge on the scale and significance of food loss around the world and trial innovative food-loss prevention interventions in the supply chain. You will also lead the commissioning of bespoke pieces of research with consultants and academia to advance the scientific underpinning of the programme. Important too, will be the ability to keep abreast of current and future trends as well as represent WWF and the partnership at key external events. You must have knowledge and a sound understanding of food loss and waste issues , in addition to strong communication and advocacy skills . An excellent project manager, you will excel at planning and can demonstrate the ability to grasp, absorb and synthesise scientific information as well as translate it into impactful policy, advice and communications. Comfortable working collaboratively and independently, you will be the type of person who is happy overseeing multiple stakeholders and taking personal ownership to see things through to delivery. You will also possess outstanding relationship building and management skills.
