Job Description

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission oriented Cabling Technician SME, in the Harrogate United Kingdom area, with strong Customer relationships. At ManTech, you will help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement. The Maryland Procurement Office (MPO) Division provides cyber solutions to a wide range of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. This division consists of a team of technical leaders that deliver advanced technical solutions to government organizations. Our customers have high standards, are technically adept, and use our products daily to support their mission of protecting national security. Our contributions to our customer's success is driving our growth.! Responsible for developing and instructing others on methodologies and criteria for the installation, inspection, and documentation of structured cabling system infrastructure to include cable tray, horizontal fiber and copper cable, backbone multi-pair copper, multi-strand fiber optic cable, telecommunications ground systems and associated connectivity hardware. + Install 4510 network switches, fiber, and copper for end users. + Installation of ducts and conduits, pulling cables, and terminating, testing, and repairing interior and outside copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling. + Generate rack elevations, floor layouts, and connection detail drawings for multiple and varied spaces. + Install, fusion splice, label and test optical fiber. + Install, terminate, label and test shielded and unshielded copper. + Install and program various network devices to include crypto, routers, and switches such as Cisco 6500. Install optical transceivers. + Install complete data center infrastructure (Racks, PDU, CAT6, SM/MM Fiber, Patch Panels, and Labeling). + Familiarity with common networking terms and fabric-based network design + Troubleshoot system issues and provide resolution **Requirements:** + 8-10 Years relevant work experience **Desired:** + Comptia Sec+ 8570 certification. **Security Requirements:** Must possess an active TS/SCI to be considered and maintain a polygraph. **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% + Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer + The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations + Working with Data + Move about freely in a laboratory setting + Repetitive Motions ManTech International Corporation, as well as its subsidiaries proactively fulfills its role as an equal opportunity employer.
