Head of Hardware Engineering Privacy Policy Full-Time, London UK Entia is an award-winning medical device technology company. Due to a very exciting stage of growth and development, we are looking a head of hardware engineering you will be responsible for all engineering aspects of medical device development at Entia. You will work alongside the CTO to set the company's technical direction, refine company processes and provide high-level technical review of products. You will work collaboratively with an R&D team of designers, engineers and product managers developing a product that will allow patients to manage a chronic condition at home. What You'll Do: * Lead all engineering aspects of the medical device development at Entia. * Evolve the company's processes to further product development speed, quality and efficiency. * Collaborate with our Product Managers to provide direction, prioritise and resource manage engineering work. * Work closely with our CTO and senior management with strategic planning and engineering decisions. * Manage the engineering team. * Identify resource gaps in the engineering team. * Inspire, motivate, maintain and cultivate the company's culture. * Provide technical review on all aspects of medical device development to maintain product quality. You are: * Someone who has excellent communication skills and the ability to explain yourself clearly in a multi-disciplinary environment. * Must have an interest in technology and is excited by hard engineering problems. * Excellent problem-solving skills. * Proactive and will work to fix issues quickly. * Excellent at prioritising work. * Naturally collaborative in your approach and able to inspire others. * Someone who loves processes and continuously improving them. You Must Have: * A minimum of 3 years of managing an engineering team. * 1st Class or 2:1 BSc or BEng in Electronic Engineering or other relevant degree courses. * Ability to deliver physical products with embedded software at a high-quality level from R&D to manufacturing. * Experience in managing and growing an engineering team. * Experience of working in a quality management system. * Knowledge of software, electronics and physical product development processes. Ideally, You Will Have: * Experience and knowledge of how to build medical devices. * Knowledge of ISO 13485:2016. * Knowledge of Lean, Agile and Systems Thinking/Engineering methodologies.
