The Opportunity Quality Management Team Leader, Bristol, Competitive Salary & Benefits EDF Energy have a new opportunity available for an experienced Quality Management Team Leader to be a part of our HPC Project divided across six delivery programmes. Each delivery programme specifies their quality requirements which in turn are delivered by a team of Quality Management Leads. Based at Bridgewater House in Bristol you will form part of theQuality Management Branch and provide quality related services, responsible for acting as the 'Intelligent Customer' in the capacity of ensuring that appropriate quality arrangements are in place and effectively implemented by the supply chain in these programmes. The primary role of the Team Leader is to provide first line leadership and oversee the quality assurance and control activities performed by theQMLs. The Team Leader will ensure QMLs apply proper use and adhere to the appropriate processes and procedures when delivering to the quality requirements set out by the respective programmes. This is a challenging but rewarding role where you will lead a team of QMLs andwork in close collaboration with the respective Quality Delivery Managers, contracted inspection agencies (e.g Direction Industrielle), supply chain partners, as well as internal and external regulators. Your day to day duties will include: * The Team Leader will lead a team of QMLs in the HPC Quality Management Branch and report to the Quality Management Manager.Working closely with the Quality Delivery Managers, the Team Leader is responsible for ensuring QMLs perform an appropriate level of oversight and assurance that quality is delivered by the supply chain and multi-disciplinary team (MDT). * Work in close collaboration with theManufacturing Hub, and is responsible for establishing and maintaininggood relations with the supply chain partners, the other directorates in the HPC project and entities within EDF Energy and EDF SA. * You will provide guidance and supervision, duty of care, and is the first line of escalation for the QMLs when generic or cross-cutting quality issues are encountered. * Ensure products/services are provided right first time and you will be required to arbitrate and support timely resolution of quality issues. The Person We are seeking an enthusiastic individual that will demonstrate proven experience in leading large teams and have the ability to inspireothers to work as a team and deliver work to a high standard. The successful candidate willensure the correct work management of the QMLs including work planning and monitoring is completed and oversee the implementation of activities that involve the QMLs in the quality execution plan within the programme. To be considered for the role it is advantageous you will be able to speak French but not essential. As a Team Leader you will: * Oversee manufacturing documentation and in-shop surveillance being carried out in accordance with surveillance plans, you will be required to ensure the Quality Management Branch is adequately represented and support the running of theManufacturing Hub. * Ensure QMLs are appropriately trained, implemented and experienced for their assigned work portfolio and maintain technical competence, monitor and report quality and performance metrics from the QMLs supporting the programmes. * Perform line management duties, set objectives and appraise the performance of QMLs, you will also oversee the implementation of LTQR reviews and Quality Release of equipment to site. The Skills The successful candidate will have the essential skills, experience and qualifications required: * Solid understanding of the Quality Assurance and Control requirements in major projects across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning. * Degree qualified in a related Engineering or Science based discipline, or equivalent qualification, proven track record on influencing and negotiating in technical and non-technical discussions, knowledge & understanding of nuclear site license conditions including the nuclear sector, ideally new build, ability to work autonomously and support the Quality Management Manager. * Working towards membership of the Chartered Quality Institute & Chartered Quality Professional would be advantageous, proven experience in project delivery, preferably in the nuclear power sector, with significant focus on project quality. * Experience of interfacing with project teams and with supply chain organisations, ability to present quality matters and solutions to a wide ranging audience.
