The Opportunity Quality Delivery Manager, Hinkley Point C, Competitive Salary Benefits EDF Energy are offering an opportunity for a Quality Delivery Manager to join us at Hinkley Point C within the Quality Department. The key objective and purpose of the role is to ensure that project quality is delivered within the HPC Programme and by the Programme's supply chain, consistently (safely, efficiently and right first time) compliant with the project quality arrangements. As an embedded key member of the programme the senior leadership team supports the Programme Director discharge their responsibilities against the project Safety, Quality, Schedule and Cost delivery principles. We are offering an opportunity to work with the Programme Director to optimise the contribution of the Quality department while assessing the future quality resource requirements and support the development of the teams accordingly.Within the role you will apply a specific interaction with the Site Surveillance Teams including the Area Management organisation. Your day to day duties include: * The Quality Delivery Manager will interact with other resources within the Programme Multi-Disciplinary Delivery Team, as well as other HPC functions, to assess and support the effectiveness of the wider implementation of the quality arrangements within the Programme. * As the leader of programme quality deliveryyou will directly support, influence, direct and instruct as appropriate to ensure that Programme needs are defined, communicated and delivered both within the programme, contracts and supporting departments. * Determine the Programme needs and communicate these to the branches of the Quality Department on how to support the Programme Multi-Disciplinary Delivery Team, and facilitate the delivery of the quality arrangements during the design, procurement, manufacturing, installation and commissioning activities. * Report to the Head of Quality on all aspects of quality management within their Programme including the quality compliance and performance of the contracted supply chain in the Programme. The Person We are seeking an experienced Quality Delivery Manager to be a part of EDF's ambitions to improve and drive solutions by influencing both internal and external audiences. You will be pro-active and flexible, being prepared to plan and work on own initiative across a broad range of issues to drive performance against all dimensions of the quality systems.Identifying opportunities for improvement you will support implementation and make recommendations accordingly. As a Quality Delivery Manager you will: * Understand the key issues affecting the Programme and coordinate resolution ensuring that they are positioned to be the single source of the truth on the issue from a Quality perspective. * Responsible for ensuring that quality issues, including non-conformances, are driven to successful and acceptable resolution, in the overall interests of the Programme objectives without compromising quality or nuclear safety. * Ensuring that supply chain organisations contracted to the Programme acknowledge, accept, respond to and fully comply with NNB's contract quality requirements, and responsible for supporting the suppliers in achieving this. * Responsible for reporting quality performance of the Programme Multi-Disciplinary Delivery Team and of the supply chain contracted to the Programme, accountable for the timely production and adequacy of quality documentation both internally and from contractors. * On behalf of the Programme Director, responsible for holding the supply chain to account for meeting their contracted requirements relating to quality management, responsible to build and provide a resource plan allowing the branches to drive the resources allocation according to the needs and schedule from the programmes. The Skills * This position requires a dynamic individual who is a team player and has a solid understanding of the quality processes in major projects across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning. * Strong awareness of working in an international quality environment, the ability to influence the Quality aspects of complex contractor and subcontractor supplier relationships nationally and internationally. * Significant experience in delivering major projects, preferably in the nuclear power sector, with significant focus on project quality, and with a specific engineering discipline expert knowledge. * Pro-active and flexible, being prepared to plan and work on own initiative across a broad range of issues to drive performance against all dimensions of the quality systems. * You will have the ability to influence the Quality aspects of complex contractor and subcontractor supplier relationships nationally and internationally. * Significant experience in ensuring compliance with National and International standards such as GSR Part 2and ISO 9001 and an understanding of nuclear site licence conditions. *
