Research Marketing is tasked with engaging researchers to use our journals and books to share their research, acquire knowledge and build their careers. Our team innovate and experiment to better meet the needs of the research community. We're looking for a hybrid role that can act as a catalyst in driving better marketing. You will work across the 100 marketers spread around SpringerNature to project manage the ongoing delivery of a common campaigns platform. You will also represent the needs of Research Marketing to the technology teams that we work with to ensure that what they deliver is what we need, and that it works. You will be a skilled Project Manager with experience in delivering large scale Marketing automation projects and hands on experience refining the Marketing Technology stack. What will you be doing : * Represent the needs of Research Marketing with Product Owners, UX, BA and Tech of large scale projects (Project Data/ DCMT development) as the Primary Point of Contact. Actively gather input and requirements from other parts of the marketing team and ensure that they are clearly explained and prioritised. * Facilitate integration of projects uses cases, testing of new functionality and ensure that technology being delivered is fit for purpose. * Work with Planner roles within the business to structure and facilitate the delivery of communications into a project roadmap, in particular focussing on rolling out communications plans across the organisation. * Develop Research Marketing requirements for CRM (Hybris)/ Product Group, with input from stakeholders and incorporate them onto the roadmap with support from senior managers as appropriate. * Identify alignment between your own team's priorities and larger project goals to drive delivery of key milestones. * Set up projects for success using formal Project Management and workflow management techniques as appropriate. You will be well versed in Agile methodologies. * Providing support and input to all aspects of the product lifecycle - from product definition, technical decisions and user experience through to marketing and sales. * Engage key stakeholders and ensure that projects are rolled out on time at scale, escalating risks and issues appropriately. * Reporting regularly on project status & stakeholder updates. * Understand dependencies outside the team and play a pivotal role towards moving past them. * Mar-Tech vendor & user management, gate-keeping across the array of channel-mix. * Optimise channels financial management & enablement of centralised billing - Twitter, FB, Bing, Google Ads. * Facilitate the integration of conversion pixels across the channel mix. * Explore and integrate efficient processes for channels data collection that support business reporting needs. Skills/knowledge : * Significant industry experience working with technology teams as a marketing stake holder, in particular collating needs and requirements and explaining these clearly to technology and project teams. Demonstrable success in getting these requirements prioritised for development. * Extensive project manangement experience working across multiple teams in a large complex international organisation - you've run projects or release cycles as a Project Manager/Scrum Master, coordinating and cajoling teams that do not report to you. * Hands-on skills in marketing automation and proven track history of sucessfull implementation. * Experience in creating technology testing plans and implementing them. * Foster team spirit and collaboration across the Research Marketing team towards a clear purpose. * Team mentoring on Agile and lean principles if needed, helping others learn and improve how to run projects better. * You can give us a long list of improvements that you've been responsible for in the way your current team works. * Prioritize, plan and execute.
