12 Month Maternity Cover Contract CAA-GBG, a joint venture created by Creative Artists Agency and Global Brands Group, is the world's largest brand management company. With 24 offices in 20 countries, CAA-GBG advises on and manages all aspects of brand extension programs, including branding strategies, market targeting, product development, retail activations, licensee acquisitions, and multi-territory franchising. Clients of the joint venture include many of the world's leading corporate brands, including Crayola, Coca-Cola and Playboy; renowned celebrities David Beckham, Jennifer Lopez and Drew Barrymore; desirable lifestyle brand and entertainment companies, including Mojang and Netflix. JOB TITLE Assistant Product Development Manager within the Brand Management division (Maternity Cover) PURPOSE OF THE JOB 1. To fully manage the Product approvals & development process for selected brands 2. Working as part of a team: Communicate and collaborate with colleagues as necessary to provide brand support to progress projects 3. To play an essential role in the Brand Management division, ensuring the smooth transition of the overall product development process from concept to production on selected brands 4. Effectively manage relationships with licensors, licensees and retailers RESPONSIBILITIES Strategy & Innovation Commercial awareness and understanding of the bigger picture to ensure the role of the Product Development Team makes a positive contribution To understand the 'pressure point' of the Product Approvals role and use effective diplomatic/influencing skills to achieve results for the Licensors & Licensees Operations & Results Efficient & smooth running of the product approvals critical path from the initial briefing stage through to final production Work across multiple categories and DTR's (retail) Highly organised ensuring all submissions from either Licensors or Licensees are turned around within 48 hours, either via the approval systems or emails Oversea the different Product Approval systems for each brand Manage the physical product and samples, including labelling, storing and sending out to the relevant partners Manage brand style guide and asset distribution to licensees Take reasonability to keep status reports and product development trackers up to date Customers & Relationships Recognises the sensitivity of the role Product Approvals plays Good communicator at all levels and highly adaptive to each Licensor's culture and tone Build strong long-term relationships and value these partnerships Earn the trust and respect internally and with Licensors & Licensees Support Brand Managers and wider team to key meetings with Licensors and Licensees and participate actively Team Player A team player with a positive, can do attitude Strong communication skills written & verbal Ability to take instruction Effective multitasker in a fast paced environment Strive for excellence with a strong work ethic To become an informal trusted advisor To be confident enough to mentor on occasion and to read situations where this is needed and to proactively contribute coaching, mentoring and advice Skills & Qualifications To have 2-3 year's experience in working in Product Approvals A proven track record of managing Product Approvals in Brands/Brand Extension-anticipating challenges and working to tight deadlines with a fluency in process, speed and accuracy Have the ability to take initiative, working in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure To be seen as a trusted role model in a team environment, displaying a maturity in approach Academic qualifications - Degree level preferable External Company URL: Street: 5th Floor, 195 Wood Lane
