Job Description
Our client is looking to recruit a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the maintenance engineering team. This roles offer opportunity for the right individual in the future to step up into a more senior position. Ideally the client would like the candidate to be Electrically Bias with a 70/30 split. Working Hours: Rotating shifts: 2 days, 7am - 7pm and 2 nights 7pm-7am followed by 4 days off and cover for holidays and project work which will be paid at the agreed overtime rate. Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 reviewable annually + overtime and 21 shift cover at x1.5 rate or x2 rate for Sundays & Bank Holidays Responsibilities include: * Maintaining high standards of health and safety * Competently performing planned preventative maintenance/servicing and reactive maintenance on all production machinery on site. * Provide fast, effective electrical and mechanical fault finding/trouble shooting and put corrective measures into action * Attending and repairing machine breakdowns in a timely manner * Working closely with manufacturing/production teams to ensure all machines are running to their full capability * Develop detailed knowledge and understanding of specific site requirements. * Assist with installation and development of new projects, equipment and machinery. * Ordering parts and materials as required. * Recording tasks completed or uncompleted on the shift log Requirements: * A proven track record in fault finding/diagnostic skills and understanding of electronics * Ideally served a recognised electrical apprenticeship. * Knowledge/practical experience of PLC Systems, DC Drives, Inverters, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. * Ability to work supportively within a team and under own initiative. * City & Guilds Level 2 * A strong understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and Hygiene Standards * Own transport is essential due to location of job and lack of public transport.
