Job Description

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust has a vacancy for a full-time mammographer to join their busy and friendly team. Working as part of the Breast Unit's Multi-disciplinary team the successful applicant will provide high quality patient care using fully digital mammography equipment, breast Tomosynthesis, prone and upright stereotactic and 3D breast biopsy systems and Contrast enhanced spectral mammography . The Maidstone Peggy Wood Breast Unit provides screening services to women between the ages of 47-73 as part of the National Breast Screening Programme, inviting in the region of 25,000 women per year. The majority of the screening is performed on the mobile breast screening vans covering the Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Cranbrook and Edenbridge areas. The symptomatic service is based at both the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospital Sites. You must have HCPC registration as a radiographer, and the Postgraduate Award in Mammography, although mammography training will be considered for the right applicant. Job share applicants would also be considered. You must be willing to travel to all the sites used by the mobile screening vans and be flexible to the needs of the service requirements. Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check at enhanced level.
