Job Description
Stratton Mills are an employment agency who provide Fashion Personnel around the UK. We have a great opportunity for Sewing Machinists. Successful candidates will be offered full-time shifts on a temp to perm basis. Products: Womenswear Salary: 8.50 / hour Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week + overtime) Immediate Start Duties for the Sewing Machinist Role: Follow an operating instruction for the particular job. Complete requirement for sewing items using appropriate materials. Draw threads through needles and adjust machine functions to meet the requirements of the sewing project. Report any faults or discrepancies to the Team Leader. Quality Control checks. Recording the number of items produced. Perform general maintenance tasks on sewing machines to ensure their longevity. Ideal Sewing Machinist Candidate: Clothing experience desirable Good attention to detail Excellent hand-eye co-ordination Experience of working to targets Ability to follow written and verbal instructions A minimum of 3 years sewing experience gained within the industry.
