Alterations Machinist to work at home – The position Must be a fast, neat & tidy worker Alterations Machinist to work at home- The company: Designer, couture men’s, women’s & some children Alterations Machinist to work at home - The candidate: Good English: Must be able to communicate clearly & fluently in English. Must be able to read & write in English. Common sense Self-motivated, able to prioritise workload Own studio Must have experience working in a factory or sample room sewing garments. Understanding of garment patterns Alterations Machinist to work at home - The Job Lots of variety of garments, from working with London Fashion Week Designers , a photo shoot to a bespoke design to CMT for a private client Working on men’s, woman’s & childrenwear Multi product and Lots of tailoring Reworking things completely especially vintage garments. Alterations & One off pieces Checking that all the pattern pieces are present Sample cutting - Checking that the cloth has been cut on the correct grain and on the correct side of the fabric. Sewing the garment Alterations Ability to press the garment is essential Button holes experience essential Organize collection and delivery of garments by courier
