Ameresco provide Project Management and Project Consultancy Services incorporating all elements of a project life-cycle including Investment Grade Audits/feasibility studies, capital justifications, front-end engineering and detailed design, right through to full turnkey project completion. Our core clients operate within the Public Sector, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, and Food and Drink sectors. The diversity of our client's markets and the size of the projects that we are asked to undertake, means that our Engineers have the opportunity to experience a variety of projects and use both established and developing technologies and methods. As a business our reputation is important to us and therefore our ability to deliver projects safely, on time and to budget is key to our continuing success. We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking clients projects from the initial idea or specification stage, through to Detailed Design, Build, Acceptance Testing and installation and on to commissioning. The Project Manager may be required to work on a variety of client projects at any one time depending on the size and scope of the work. The role is expected to provide strong leadership in a matrix environment to promote best practices in managing interrelated projects and programs to ensure successful delivery. Strong project or program management and excellent organisational skills are fundamental, as is the ability to liaise with people at all levels of the organisation. Requirements of the role as follows: + Be responsible for the planning, development, procurement and implementation of a variety of projects. + Ensure project scope, goals and deliverables are accurately specified, budgeted and planned to meet the objectives of the clients' "Project Brief". + Define project tasks and resource requirements + Develop full scale project plans + Assemble and coordinate project resources + Manage the project budget + Manage project resource allocation + Plan and schedule project timelines + Track project deliverables using appropriate tools + Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations + Quality assurance + Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders + Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions + Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs + Project evaluations and assessment of results + Continually review new and existing technical developments to ensure sustainability for client's developments. + Manage Project Engineers and Contractor's activities in line project requirements and company procedures. + Coach and support the operational side of engineering prior, during and after project implementation. + Ensure projects meet the requirements not only of the Client but also any relevant regulative bodies. + Project Development - Support bid development teams to review, approve relevant Project, Construction and Program sections of proposals. Attend bidder's day, bid presentation meetings as required and assist in the preparation of presentation materials. + Review and approve capital budgets. In some cases this will require the preparation of capital budgets depending on the size and complexity of the project. People are important to our business and therefore the ability to interface with other disciplines within the engineering design office and project delivery teams is a vital skill that we look for in all members of our team. + Significant experience at a senior level in Project Management role. + Recognized formal project management qualification (PMP/APMP or equivalent) is desirable + Minimum 2:1 enginee
