Job Description
Maintenance Manager Location: Sandy Balls, New Forest Salary: £35,000+ Depending on Experience Hours of Work: 40 Hours Per Week (Weekend & Bank Holiday Working Required) We need a Maintenance Manager who will keep our Accommodation and the whole Holiday park in tip-top condition and looking spectacular so repairing, maintaining, renewing and improving everything from the entrance signage to the back fence! Sandy Balls Holiday Park is not only unique for its unusual name but read on and you'll get to know more. Set in the heart of the beautiful New Forest just 5 minutes from Fordingbridge and 6 Miles from Ringwood this premium Holiday Park location is a true gem. Sandy Balls is a very diverse day to day operation with everything from swimming pool, play areas, retail outlet entertainment venues, sports & leisure facilities & loads of Indoor and Outdoor activities and pretty much open all year round. A £6 Million + Development of Luxury Lodges & unique Holiday Homes has just been completed (bringing our total Fleet to over 250 2-4 bedroom Holiday Homes). This enables us to provide a simply outstanding range & choice of Accommodation which is the envy of the Holiday Park sector. We also sell Holiday Homes too. The Maintenance Manager Role Reporting to the Guest Experience Manger & General Manager you will manage the Maintenance Team to ensure everything is in good working order. We are looking for a Maintenance Manager with a proven background and able to demonstrate: * Take responsibility for the General maintenance of the Holiday Park and upkeep and of the Accommodation units, Facility buildings and Grounds maintenance, this is a "big" site at well over 200+Acres and much of it Woodland so not for the faint hearted. * Allocate and provide Maintenance team cover on a daily basis and the completion and delivery of reactive and preventative maintenance tasks through a Team of around 15 * Ability to deal with a wide range of basic Maintenance repairs & requirements * Work to a clear defined Health and Safety Policy & Regs and within the compliance requirements of such a large diverse operation * Ability of working on and implementing Capital projects - as well as the delivery of smaller scale projects in - house * Establish and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers and contractors * Financial understanding of Budgets & Repair & Maintenance expenditure purchasing systems and IT savvy to work H&S systems * This isn't a Mon-Fri role as Weekends are like normal working days...it is a Holiday Park after all... Guests and staff will look to you to fix what's broken and restore order, so you will need to be confident, friendly and obliging in addition to your practical skills. Requirements for the Maintenance Manager Role We will train you & truly support you but you'll need to have the following skills and experience to apply for this role: * Strong man - management skills to manage & coordinate a large team * A good communicator who can establish good working relationships with all other Department Heads & Staff * Real attention to detail * Adaptable/Conscientious/Organized * Highest of standards * A sense of urgency * Hands on "can do & will do" approach to day to day issues * Knowledge of plumbing and electrics and general maintenance * Experience in property maintenance & Facilities management & General Maintenance * An understanding of Health & Safety at Work * A good standard of education ideally to GCSE standard or equivalent * Driving licence is essential Add in the ability to think for yourself and be proactive have great people skills and unfailing enthusiasm and extremely high standards & work ethic - if you've got all that then you're in the running.
