Network Design Engineer Manchester or Glasgow Permanent Full-Time About the Role Here at Gamma we are looking for a Network Design Engineer who specialises in automation to join the voice & data services delivery team. We are the team responsible for the IP network design of Gamma's core products and services. We are going through a period of unprecedented growth and the successful candidate will be helping develop automated solutions for network development, management and deployment whilst supporting the team in an 'automation first' approach but can also get their hands dirty with network design when needed. We are looking for someone looking to take their next step in their career, someone who has a real passion for programming but understand the underlying network systems and services they are programming for. About You * You'll have an excellent understanding of Juniper and Cisco network Platforms. * You'll have strong programming skills being comfortable writing clear and concise code in Python. * You'll have experience with one or more automation frameworks such as Ansible, SaltStack or Nornir to manage network configuration. * Ideally you'll have experience of implementation of Git-based CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins * You'll be comfortable working effectively and accurately when working to multiple competing deadlines * You'll have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with a flair for articulating your thinking * You'll be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, working across multiple projects simultaneously * You'll be a team player; you strive for a harmonious work environment and are a champion of collaborative working About Gamma Gamma is a leading supplier of voice, data and mobile products and services in the UK.
