Job Description
FactSet's OMS Team are looking for a Product Specialist to start working on an exciting new project. The Order Management and Compliance solution is a multi-asset Buy-side providing Decision Support, Trading and Compliance software solutions to Investment Managers, Asset Managers, Multi Managers, Pension Funds, Wealth Managers, Broker Dealers and Hedge Funds. Responsibilities: * Participate in the analysis of applications for the AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Azure cloud platforms. * Assist in defining, analyzing, and evaluating system requirements to meet business and user needs. * Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing systems * Prepare business requirements specifications; document business practices, workflows, feasibility studies, cost projections and business needs * Ability to build detailed data mapping documents * Work with business unit to address opportunities for improvements in processes * Management of small projects and special assignments. This includes both leading as well as providing support for operations initiatives. * Plan, direct and coordinate task related activities to ensure that tasks are accomplished within the prescribed period and budget parameters * Lead support for the business in running User Acceptance Testing (UAT) * Use a structured requirements process to assess near-term and long-term needs * Ensure change management and communication of change is done in a systematic way for projects where initial requirements may evolve during the lifecycle of the project * Develop relationships with the internal customers by being proactive, displaying a thorough understanding of their business, and providing innovative business solutions * Develop formal recommendations for presentation to management that may impact business policies * Contribute and develop Knowledge Management & Best Practice function * Travel (potentially globally) to meet prospects and clients at their offices to analyze requirements and support sales activities Required Skills: * Ideally 3 years of OMS experience preferred * Bachelor's degree in related field (Masters/PhD preferred) * Ideally knowledge of OMS and Compliance industry solutions. * High level of motivation along with sound decision-making ability * At least 3 years of work experience, ideally within the Front / Middle Office or a strong understanding of the Investment Lifecycle * Deep understanding of Fixed Income securities including derivatives * Ability to learn and apply leading methods, and associated tools & techniques * Strong detailed analysis and design skills * Strong problem solving skills * Skilled in MS Office, Powerpoint, Visio, etc. in order to be able to create meaningful Management Information, process maps, reports, etc. * Solid understanding of requirements traceability * Good experience in process identification, definition and mapping * Ability to identify process improvement opportunities * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong communication skills - written and verbal * Exceptional people skills - Ability to build strong relationships and work with people at all levels to solve problems and overcome obstacles * Work efficiently and effectively to meet desired deadlines * Experience using JIRA or other agile development tools is preferred * Experience using a PPM tool such as Planview is a plus * Experience using other ticketing systems (e.g., Service Now) is a plus * Experience using collaboration tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, etc.) is a plus
