We're looking for someone like that to help us: - analyze and understand complex business requirements and then assess the design and implementation accordingly, in constant communication with the development manager and other stakeholders - adopt a truly bleeding edge approach to testing and automation, you will be familiar with the DevOps movement and appreciate the need for lean processes and fast, high-quality flow of change - support the team in resolving high-priority defects and understanding their root cause and any gaps in the testing processes that need to be rectified - collaborate with other teams and improve team culture. You will be a vocal advocate for no-brainer approaches to software development and testing, such as TDD and you will be comfortable mentoring - we are building an exceptional and differentiating user experience for UBS clients - we have a large development team delivering a large amount of change; we need test processes that can scale Your team: Evidence Lab is a ground-breaking approach to Investment Research - using Big, or 'Alt', Data to provide truly unique evidence-based investment advice. Presenting this data to clients is a significant technical challenge on a number of levels - that will be your focus. More information can be shared at interview. You'll be working in the Evidence Lab Technology team in London. You will be part of the newly formed and evolving 'Portal' team, responsible for all client-facing software development. A small but growing team of engineers with a varied background and skillset. We are working almost exclusively on greenfield development but we have a growing client base. We are a reflective agile team who share responsibility, collaborate intensely and encourage the growth and development of team members. Your expertise: - vast experience of testing large-scale enterprise software systems - experience of implementing test automation on user interfaces, at scale - a history on working on externally available client-facing systems - you will have extensive experience of testing microservices & REST API's - some web development experience would be beneficial, you will certainly be familiar with Chrome debugging tools, for example - strong analytical & problem-solving skills (you know how to figure stuff out and get things done!) - imaginative & creative with emerging tools and an ambassador for professional software testing - mature & considered in tool choices - you can choose the right tool for the job without overly complicating the testing process - curious and collaborative, comfortable working independently, as well as in a team and as part of a large organisation About us: Expert advice.
