Job Description

Senior Clinical Lecturer in Evidenced Based Midwifery An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical academic to join the senior team at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will cement the links between the trust, its higher education partners and international collaborations to develop the evidence for best practice in midwifery so as to improve women's and babies' health locally, nationally and worldwide. As one of the first clinical academic appointments within the organisation the post holder will be responsible for developing a strategic vision to facilitate an increased research awareness and activity for all non-medical staff within the organisation, focusing initially within the divisions of Women's and Children's services. This is a clinical academic post, with the post holder expected to embed their research into the clinical areas with direct translational appeal to the workforce. The post aims to increase the amount of Midwife and Nurse Led research within Women's and Children's services at both of the sites within the trust, with a view to generating research grant income to facilitate an embedded culture of evidence based practice and strengthen the midwifery research contribution to the public health agenda both nationally and internationally.
