The role is based in the centre of Glasgow, at SAS R&D Scotland's facility. IOT, Streaming Analytics, Data Management, Fraud & Security, Intelligence Management and Mobile Security are just a few of the exciting global applications and technologies that the Glasgow R&D team are actively working on. The team you will be joining the intelligence and investigation management team who build intelligence software for Police and Public Security. We have customers using our software throughout the world. You will have the opportunity to experience the full test cycle, from being involved in design to lean testing and automation. You would be contributing to the team's efforts by fulfilling the role of lead tester. The teams' members provide a broad range of experience with a friendly atmosphere. Essential: + Strong written and verbal English language communication skills. + Focus and work ethic + Experience of test management e.g. creating new lean test scripts, new system scripts, test plan. + The ability to be flexible in terms of tasks assigned. When there is not a backlog of tests the ability to find other tasks to help the team. This could be automated tests, configuration of our solution, design work or even some simple development tasks. + The desire and ability to learn the development technologies used by the team e.g. REST services, Postman, Docker, HTML, Angular, Git, Gerrit, Kubernetes. + Bachelor's degree, preferably in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. + Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills Experience of below would be useful: + Unix experience + Server deployment experience + Experience of automated testing. + Ability to use Git, Gerrit or other source management software If you are interested we would love to hear from you!
