Lead Family Therapist - Band 8b
Overview
Job Description
Lead Family Therapist Band 8b We are very pleased to be able to recruit a suitably qualified and CAMHS experienced Band 8b Family Therapist to the Haringey Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. The successful applicant will take the lead role in the Family Therapy team, working closely with the Senor Leadership Team and Service Manager, to develop the provision across generic and specialist CAMHS. The role will have a particular input into the Adolescent Outreach Team, which provides specialist input for young people requiring urgent input to manage their mental health needs. This is done through a mixture of clinic based and outreach interventions, with significant liaison with networks. In addition, the post holder will undertake direct clinical work across CAMHS, contributing to the multi-disciplinary team providing specialist assessment, therapy, consultation, training and supervision as appropriate. Barnet, Enfield and Haringey NHS Mental Health Trust, (BEH) has a bold and ambitious 5 year strategic plan focussing on the re-development of the hospital, continuing to develop more holistic services, extending their reach into community settings involving partners of different kinds across the statutory and voluntary sectors. BEH is a keen proponent of developing a culture of continuous quality improvement across all sectors through service and Borough-based initiatives as well as those which are Trust-wide. Haringey CAMHS is one of the three borough-based CAMHS services in BEH. Haringey CAMHS has seen considerable changes in the last 18 months, including a move to St Ann's and the expansion of our community based mental health services through Trailblazers, the mental health in schools programme. We are a dynamic and creative team, including all core CAMHS professions, as well as Art Psychotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy, and CAMHS mental health practitioners. We are in the process of transforming our CAMHS services underpinned by the i-THRIVE model and taking the best from the new technologies more recently available. This is an exciting time for a CAMHS experienced Family and Systemic Psychotherapist, wanting to lead and develop the Family Therapy Service here and to contribute to the development of Haringey CAMHS. The Trust will support flexible working hours where appropriate. The successful applicant will be joining an extremely supportive, committed and dynamic service. The post holder must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
