Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, HCPC registered biomedical scientists for the position of Senior Specialist Biomedical Scientist in the Department of Cellular Pathology. You will be expected to have substantial post HCPC registration experience in Histopathology; current experience of specimen dissection covering RCPath categories A, B and C; an MSc or equivalent experience and hold the IBMS Diploma of Expert Practice in Histological Dissection or be working towards its completion. You will have line managerial responsibility for the Biopsy room and perform a training officer role. You must have proven experience supervising, training and outstanding communication skills, as well as a clear understanding of UKAS ISO:15189:2012 accreditation standards.
