As an Outreach Worker with Change Grow Live you'll work with people in the community who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be. With this role you'll be working as part of the Outreach team based in Huddersfield. The team supports people with their or their loved ones' drug and/or alcohol issues. No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key. You'll have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you'll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives. Our Outreach workers have the most varied job in our service, here's a few highlights:- + Delivering services within the Kirklees area from community hubs and our Clinical van (Wellbeing Wheels) + Delivering harm min messages in the community around drug or alcohol use + Raising the profile of services to break down barriers and help people access treatment + Delivering needle exchange interventions + BBV testing + Training communities and professionals on drug and alcohol awareness + Being the face of our service on stalls at partnership events + Street outreach with rough sleeping clients + Inreach into Prisons and Hostels + Training professionals to use naloxone to save a life + Full Driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential In return for hard work, professionalism, dedication, and enthusiasm, we will offer excellent terms and conditions, a comprehensive career development plan and the support you will need to really make a difference to service users' lives.
