Team Profile: The Global Intelligence team specializes in the collection and analysis of information pertaining to the threat landscape and any business disrupting events that may impact the Firm's operations. The team's mission is to provide monitoring and analysis of the cyber, fraud, and physical threat landscape in order to drive timely and effective response operations and support operational resilience. It provides situational awareness of the threat landscape through the delivery of timely and actionable intelligence, and the production of analysis for its defined stakeholders, driving Fusion's understanding of the operating environment. The team ensures depth and breadth of analytical coverage and subject matter expertise ranging from cyber threats and fraud trends to geopolitical risks, civil unrest, physical security threats, pandemics, and weather events. Role Profile: The Global Intelligence team is seeking an Analyst to join our Physical Threats Intelligence function, which is responsible for monitoring and providing assessment of physical threats (e.g., civil unrest, geopolitical risks, natural disasters and extreme weather, terrorism, and pandemics) that may impact Morgan Stanley. Intelligence Analysts are responsible for monitoring and analyzing relevant developments and trends across the threat landscape and providing custom threat assessment and forecasting to stakeholders across the organization. In this capacity, Intelligence Analysts contribute to informing operational teams and providing situational awareness to senior leadership through the regular production of threat briefings and deep-dive trend analysis. Experience & Skills - Required * Professional research and analytical experience, preferably within an intelligence or security function in the financial sector * Solid understanding of, and genuine interest, in geopolitical dynamics, trends, and sensitives, and how they affect the threat landscape * Knowledge of prominent threats to global corporations and financial institutions, particularly those that may cause operational disruption * Excellent writing and presentation skills with proven ability to succinctly communicate findings and recommendations to different audiences and stakeholders, often under tight deadlines * Superior research skills, including familiarity with open-source tools and techniques * Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to deliver clear and concise assessments that reinforce key messages in analytical products * Highly collaborative; able to work well as both part of a team and independently in a global environment * Familiarity with the intelligence cycle and analytical trade craft techniques * Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, International Studies Security Policy, Intelligence, or other relevant field Experience & Skills - Desirable * Regional subject matter expertise * Experience in building relationships and partnering effectively across functions and various levels of a global organization * Experience with data analytics and visualization software/tools * Experience with threat scenario development to support exercise planning * Experience working in a global team or as part of a Follow-the-Sun operational model * Active memberships or experience with working with associations across the security and intelligence community * Fluency in another language
