INTERNAL VACANCY ONLY therefore only current employees of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS trust will be considered for this post An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Surgical Division at Nottingham University Hospital Trust for a ward receptionist.You will be working on F20 Male Trauma & Orthopaedics Every day is different - challenging but rewarding. We pride ourselves on team work, learning and being forward thinking. Expectations to deliver a high standard of service with patient safety and quality are a priority. In this role you will be a valuable member of the team who can communicate effectively with patients and their relatives. We are a 27 bedded ward that is faced paced and care for emergency orthopaedic patients. F20 is proud of its excellent team who regularly achieve best outcomes and experience for our patients.. As part of the ward reception team you will often be the first point of contact that patients and visitors have when entering the ward so a friendly welcoming smile. Excellent communication skills are essential not only with the public, but that of the multidisciplinary team. You will forefront in assisting with the flow of patients through the ward and from the Emergency Department and on to other wards within the Surgical Division and the wider hospital. The role requires a high level of use of the hospitals computer and IT systems. As a caring and positive person you will need to be able to work as part of an established team, have the ability to work flexibly and be committed to ensuring the smooth running of reception. Priorities are ever changing and you should have a problem solving approach.
