An exciting opportunity to join NHS Tayside. Over recent years NHS Tayside has committed to increased investment in the Area Psychological Therapies (TAPTS). NHS Tayside Area Psychological Therapies Service now has a complement of around 180 clinical and applied staff with an additional 20 trainees. Opportunity exists to combine a number of specialist posts to reflect career interests of suitable applicants. The Department provides a friendly, supportive and stimulating environment in which to work. Opportunities exist for involvement in teaching and research, taking advantage of close links with Universities of Dundee and Stirling. Members of the Department also contribute to the supervision and training of trainees on the Edinburgh/East and South of Scotland Clinical Teaching Course and the Universities of Stirling and Dundee MSc Course. Angus Adult Psychological Therapies Service is looking to appoint a Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology/ Psychological Therapist. This post offers the opportunity to work with adults with a range of mental health problems. The post involves working in a primary care setting. There are opportunities to contribute to the supervision, audit and training work of the service, as well as carrying an individual caseload. The postholder will be based in Tayside. Appointees will have successfully completed the MSc in Psychological Therapy or equivalent and be able to make a valuable contribution to the healthcare of adults in primary care settings. Appointees will have regular access to clinical supervision and work under the guidance of experienced clinical psychologists. You will be required to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment. The appointee will work under the management and guidance of a Lead Clinical Psychologist and will have regular access to clinical supervision and a structured programme of Departmental continuing professional development.
