MARKETING/COMMERCIAL MANAGER - UK & IRELAND About GW Pharmaceuticals GW Pharmaceuticals is a cutting-edge UK-based biopharmaceutical company that over the last 20 years has established a world-leading position in cannabinoid science and the development of regulatory approved medicines derived from cannabis. Having developed the world's first prescription medicine derived from the cannabis plant, Sativex, which treats spasticity due to multiple sclerosis,GW has now developed an oral formulation of purified cannabidiol (CBD), (approved as Epidyolex in Europe) for use as adjunctive therapy of seizures associated with Lennox Gastaut syndrome (LGS) or Dravet syndrome (DS), in conjunction with clobazam, for patients 2 years of age and older. Lennox-Gastaut syndrome or Dravet Syndrome are two rare and severe early-onset, drug-resistant epilepsy syndromes. CBD is approved in the US as Epidiolex. This is in addition to our deep pipeline of clinical stage cannabinoid candidates under development for both orphan and non-orphan indications with a particular focus on neurological conditions. In the UK, we have close to 550 employees from a diverse range of backgrounds and disciplines based on four sites in Cambridge, Kent, London and Andover, along with employees working in the field. Job Purpose The Marketing / Commercial Manager will develop and implement national projects (e.g. congresses, national meetings and bespoke projects) with key stakeholders and decision makers. They will support the whole UK / Ireland team in their efforts to optimise Epidyolex revenues. In addition, they will work closely together with the General Manager providing further insights, planning, implementing & developing local strategies, initiatives and materials. They will lead the materials localisation process and contribute to National market access strategies and activities. 2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES Lead development of the UK / Ireland annual tactical plan Efficient localisation & deployment of the International Markets campaign materials & initiatives including Veeva certification Develop bespoke UK/Ireland materials to supplement those produced by the International Markets team Support the UK/Ireland field-based team in implementation of projects Represent the UK/Ireland team at assigned internal meetings & externally with selected customers Undertake data analysis & monthly report generation 3. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES /ACCOUNTABILITIES * Lead the development of the UK / Ireland annual tactical plan in accordance with International strategic guidance. Work in close cooperation with medical and commercial colleagues providing a range of innovative tactics to supplement those developed by the International team * Lead the UK / Ireland localisation process ensuring all materials & briefing documents are fully Veeva approved prior to roll-out. Oversee the materials management, reproduction & distribution of campaign materials * Develop strategically aligned local materials for UK & Ireland to supplement the campaign produced by the International team which are compliant and legally approved * Support the NAM & MSL teams with implementation of national projects (e.g. stand alone, congresses, national initiatives) * Represent UK / Ireland internally & provide country level inputs into the development of International X-functional initiatives * Represent GW at national and international events and congresses, when needed, and create a positive image of the company with relevant customer groups. * Support the country lead with data analysis & monthly report generation * Be responsible forallocated budget on individual projects 4. KEY ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS/EDUCATION - ESSENTIAL Strong Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical commercial & sales experience Life Science Degree Demonstrated track record of successful product revenue launch at the National or International level Proven ability to plan and implement national projects Knowledge of UK & Ireland market access environment and experience of working with local MA stakeholders is desired Ability to work effectively independently and in an interdependent, team-oriented environment on a consistent basis Ability to gain consistent access & develop strong, professional relationships for scientific exchange and promotion with healthcare providers in community and
