Halliwell Homes - Support Worker Permanent Senior Support Worker SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER Senior Support Worker in Edenfield paying up to £23,643 working with children and young people with challenging behaviour and complex needs. Your new company Halliwell Homes is a social enterprise offering clinically informed practice to children who have experienced earlier trauma in their lives. Many of these children will also have suffered abuse, sexual, physical and emotional, and some will have not, but all have suffered the trauma of parental rejection. Due to several changes there is a need for an experienced Senior Support Worker. Your new role You will be re-parenting children aged between 4 and 12 years who have suffered from trauma in their lives. You will be supporting and caring for children who can display complex and challenging behaviours in our therapeutic residential care home by meeting their social, emotional, cultural and educational needs. Delivering Halliwell's Restorative Parenting® recovery programme tailored to the individual needs of the child. You will lead and plan shifts ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained always. A therapeutic, safe, healthy and homely environment will need to be in place at all times to meet Ofsted's Quality Standards. You need to be passionate about delivering real psychological recovery for children within the looked after system. What you'll need to succeed You will be working on a rota, under the guidance of an experienced Registered Manager to provide the highest level of care for vulnerable children. You will be responsible for supervising a small team of support workers in line with young people's care plans. What you'll get in return You will need at least 6 months experience in a residential setting for young people with challenging behaviour to succeed in the role. You will have an excellent knowledge of Ofsted requirements and children's home regulations, along with an NVQ Level 3 in Children in Residential Care or equivalent. You will also have a passion for working with children and young people.
