Job Description
Overview The HR Projects Adviser will play an integral role in overseeing the delivery of HR project activity associated with business change programmes and key HR initiatives. The HR Projects Adviser will provide support for the delivery of the HR People Strategy and undertake designated HR project work. The role will blend both knowledge of HR process and best practice with a clear understanding of project management disciplines. The role will also play an integral part in ensuring the management, analysis and communication of key people data and management information. Responsibilities * Take the lead on a variety of key HR projects to enhance the employee experience and continually improve HR services. * Plan and execute HR projects and initiatives, providing a consistent approach and methodology in line with the Common Projects Framework. * Act as the HR expert, responsible for applying this knowledge and managing HR work streams associated with projects across RSSB. * Provide advice and guidance to ensure projects are appropriately scoped and key milestones met. * Responsible for managing and undertaking Project activities including: * Ensuring Project requirements are clearly defined and agreed * Maintain schedules for project activities considering dependencies and resource requirements * Monitoring project progress against agreed plans * Monitoring budgets * Monitor and managing project risks * Preparing and presenting project documentation * Partner with key stakeholders within the HR team and across RSSB to communicate and implement projects and ensure project objectives are met * Work closely with the HR team to ensure a smooth implementation and handover of project activity at the appropriate point * Ensure the project and HR teams are regularly updated on project activity and consulted on key decisions in a timely and proactive manner * Design and deliver local workshops on HR related topics, and particularly new ways of working resulting from HR project activity * Provide generalist support across the HR team including supporting with annual processes, improving HR tools, methodologies and operational requirements. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices Qualifications * A proven track record of successfully managing and delivering multiple and HR projects, identifying the necessary steps and moving forward through to completion * Experience of implementing a new HCM system very desirable * Substantial HR experience of the full employee lifecycle and (CIPD Qualified) or equivalent experience * An introductory project management qualification (such as APM Project Fundamentals or PRINCE2 Foundation) or equivalent experience * Change management experiences * Analytical and data management skills * Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to influence and negotiate effectively * Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels and across multiple disciplines * Experience of sourcing suppliers against requirements and in line with procurement frameworks * Experience of developing and implementing workforce polices, processes and systems
