Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust Part Time Substantive Consultant in Pain Medicine Applications are invited for a new part - time substantive Consultant post in Pain Medicine (2 PAs). The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust is a 220-bedded specialist hospital caring mainly for patients with complex orthopaedic problems as a tertiary referral centre, with a few local secondary referrals. The work of the Trust includes spinal deformity correction, spinal injury treatment and rehabilitation, bone tumor, paediatric orthopaedic, peripheral nerve and brachial plexus injury and revision joint surgery. The RNOH Chronic Pain Centre offers a range of interventional, pharmacological and rehabilitation treatments for the management of chronic pain. The Centre runs a Neuromodulation service, a residential Pain Management Programme and Paediatric chronic pain management clinics. The service collaborates closely with Rheumatology, Rehabilitation, and Psychiatry Services and has strong multidisciplinary ethos. The department has 4 Consultants (the majority occupy shared posts with Anaesthetics), 4 Clinical Nurse Specialists, a chronic pain specialist Pharmacist and an Advanced Pain Fellow. Opportunities exist for audit and research and will be actively encouraged. Job plans will be flexible and will take into consideration any individual requirements.
