Job Description
You will be working with Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Trust, a major acute trust serving the people of Wigan and Leigh. Innovative and forward thinking, the trust is dedicated to providing the best possible healthcare for the local population in the Wigan Borough and surrounding areas. The job: As a Junior BI Developer, you will be working with a team of BI professionals to support and develop the Data-warehouse, Reporting and Qlikview / Qliksense applications within the Trust. You will develop and utilise your technical skills in SQL Server, QlikView/QlikSense and other BI technologies in order to support and contribute to the development of the applications. You will be working alongside the Senior BI Developers in a fast-paced environment. The role will assist with the design and mocking-up of potential solutions before they go into production. This role will lead on the testing and validation of new intelligence solutions, ensuring figures and information correlates to the source systems and that functionality works as expected. This role will oversee automated tasks to ensure they run successfully as well as assisting with the automation of new tasks within the department. You will have experience of the following: * Basic SQL experience (ability to create basic SQL queries - SELECT, INSERT, TRUNCATE) with inner and outer joins. * Experience using Microsoft SQL Server BI Stack * Minimum of 1 Years' Experience of Business Intelligence Software (such as QlikView/QlikSense, Reporting Services etc.) at an Intermediate Level - Creating and deploying basic reports with a good understanding of formatting, setting up Drill-through reports, parameters, report actions and pre-created variables. * Microsoft TSQL - Basic level * Proven Experience within the Business Intelligence field. * Excellent Numerical and Analytical skills What you'll get in return As part of an award winning BI team, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced, likeminded individuals, building on your Business Intelligence Development knowledge. The salary on offer is between £20,000 and £23,000.
