Job Description

The Medical Services Division at Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust is home to a diverse range of services and we are currently looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated individual to lead a Cluster within the Medical Services Division for a 12 month fixed term period. This is a key post within the Medical Services Management Team and will provide strong leadership across all functions of the service, to ensure the planning and delivery of safe, effective patient focused care for patients. The role of Cluster Manager is both highly complex and rewarding, and will challenge the most skilled of service managers. You will be self-motivated and committed to developing services with the ability to lead, motivate and support a multi-disciplinary team of staff demonstrating, honesty, integrity and fairness at all times. You will possess great dedication and tenacity to lead on service development work, ensuring that current pathways fit with local and national strategy, and will have proven experience of working in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills will be vital in order to build strong, effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels across internal and external organisations in order to ensure delivery of excellent patient care. You will need to be a strong leader and an excellent problem solver, with the ability to analyse complex data, and a proven ability to influence and negotiate to achieve good outcomes. You will report to a Divisional Business Manager and it is essential that you will bring previous and relevant experience of managing a hospital service as well as enthusiasm for leading service developments.
