Job Description

Communications Officer (Maternity Cover - 12 month Fixed Term Contract) Based nr Rugby Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum dependant on experience Raising awareness and understanding of the business's activities and support to the members community is vitally important to us as we seek to ensure that members understand the breadth of support we provide and are able to access it in the most appropriate way for them. You will support in achieving our strategic objectives by leading, directing and coordinating the delivery of integrated advice-led campaigns and activity, which will help raise our profile, allow people to access self-help advice and generate take up of services. You will work as part of the marketing and communications team and work independently to deliver every element of our campaigns - from research and data analysis to developing campaign themes and messages, to coordinating our online information and promotion of the campaign through various channels e.g. direct mail, social media and advertising. You will have demonstrable experience of planning and delivering campaigns, possess excellent verbal communication skills, and be a creative thinker. You will look for opportunities to improve engagement with our audiences and will have fantastic organisational and project management skills and be able to monitor, evaluate and learn from campaign projects. You must have the ability to meet continuous deadlines whilst keeping long-term goals on track. The team aspect of this role is vital as you will be building relationships with partners and working with a diverse range of stakeholders including internal teams and external suppliers. Experience of working as a campaigns officer or in a communications role will be essential. A background within either the charity sector or membership type organisations would be beneficial but not essential.
