WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING As a Payments Team Lead you will be responsible for a functional area, going beyond existing methodologies and own discipline to define and resolve complex problems. Contribute to the strategy of the function or department by developing plans that include business, operational and organizational priorities. We need someone like you to help us in different fronts: * Ensure the quality of the product: Actively pair with the engineers of each squad, understanding their technical approach to implement stories. Provide feedback based on engineer input and needs to help shape the Roadmap and strategy. And help making decisions on quality decisions that affect the delivery. * Squads being aligned, understanding the dependencies and assisting in the resolution of any blockers: Assist in coordinating multi-squad deliveries and help finding solutions to blockers and to escalate when appropriate. Help with the rotation of engineers between squads. * Embedding and sustaining a strong agile culture: Attend the agile ceremonies of the squads offering guidance and support and quickly address any issues before they become embedded or accepted. * Technical advisor and coordination point: Listen to everyone, compile feedback and lead the implementation of the technical architecture. Make sure that technical decisions are vision oriented, the cost of change is low and code refactor is applied to minimize technical debt. * Evangelization of good practices: Ensure squads follow good practices encouraging anchors and engineers to follow best practices. Motivate the team to achieve ideas together by planning think and design sessions and help to execute them. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCE * At least 12 years of professional experience in similar roles. * Work experience with application development and/or analysis (preferably within banking sector) from an operational, functional and/or technical point of view, over a significant part of the project or the development, implementation or maintenance cycle. EDUCATION * University degree in a scientific, technical or mathematical discipline and / or completed training with additional qualification, or previous relevant experience. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE * Execution of application programming, analysis, operation or maintenance tasks, preferably within the banking sector. * Deep Knowledge of Agile delivery framework * Must have: Spring, Springboot, Java, Microservices, Rabbit, Rest / Nice to have: React, Kafka, Elk WHAT WE OFFER YOU Welcome to #TheSantanderEffect .
