" Riverside have a new opportunity for a Care Assistant, working full-time, on a permanent basis. You'll earn £18,135 per year. You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week. The working hours will be between 07:30am - 10:30pm, Monday - Sunday on a rotational basis. Who you'll be helping Laurel Court provides a safe environment for people with learning disabilities to live independently in Huddersfield. While Riverside does have roles for Support Workers, this is a role perfect for those looking for care work. What will you do? As a trusted member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of quality care services to the standard required in line with ECHG purpose and values. Day to day Your key responsibilities as a Laurel Court Care Assistant will include: • Provides assistance to residents in need of physical personal care. • Carries out individual work and tasks with Residents/Tenants in line with support plans. • Assists Tenants/Residents to maintain or improve their quality of life. • Recognises signs of distress in Residents / Tenants. • Gives Residents/Tenants control over their lives where possible. Even better, you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills too. You will have experience of working within a residential environment offering personal care to a diverse group of people. You have National Care Standards Awareness as well as knowledge of Housing, Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
