The Compliance Analyst works closely with the Compliance Managers to support the teams core compliance functions activities such as horizon scanning, compliance monitoring, regulator reporting and financial promotions sign off. The compliance analyst reports into the Compliance Officer. This role is a maternity leave replacement, starting August 2020 and for a maximum of 12 months. RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist the Compliance team in their day to day operations * Contribute to the execution and write up of Curve's compliance monitoring plan activities * Assist in the review and write up of Curve's horizon scanning activities * Contribute to ensuring staff training and awareness programs are effective and undertaken by all staff, including updating the related (training) records * Contribute to Curve's 3rd line of defence and external audit programs to monitor the effectiveness of Curve's compliance framework * Own the ongoing auditing of Curve's financial promotions approval process * You will act as first line in regards to internal compliance queries received from the business * Own the building of the compliance team knowledge base, pulling together information gathered from different sources internally and externally; as received by Curve in their normal course of business Requirements REQUIREMENTS * 2+ years experience as a compliance analyst in a financial services related industry, preferably related to payments and card processing. Experience in credit is an advantage. * Demonstrate regulatory knowledge relevant to the role, i.e. the relevant sections of the FCA handbook, FCA approach documents, JMLSG Guidance, EMR, EMD, PSR, PSD, MLR, AMLD, DPA, GDPR, etc. and their international equivalents * High sense of responsibility and autonomy - "ready to go" from day one and to get stuck in the detail * Enjoy working in a fast-paced start-up environment within a growing business * Ability to communicate with others confidently whilst remaining flexible/adaptable * Ability to work collaboratively within the team and across functions * Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory - other languages are a plus (Polish, German, Italian, French, Spanish, or other European Language) Why Work at Curve?
