The Role Associate Lecturers are being recruited for a Stage one science module in London, South East England and Scotland. S112 can be part of a certificate, diploma or undergraduate degree. Associate lecturers play a vital role in supporting students studying this module through a mix of face-to-face and online tuition. You will help students to engage with the online learning materials, provide written feedback on assignments as well as mentoring and individual support during this 31-week module commencing in October. This is an exciting opportunity to work with your cohort of students and to have a direct impact on the outcomes for individuals. S112 provides a solid toolbox of knowledge, understanding, and skills for Science. The module covers fascinating concepts within key scientific disciplines (i.e. biology; chemistry; Earth and environmental sciences; physics and astronomy). Students will undertake practical experiments, do collaborative work with other students, and will learn how to communicate scientific information. The module is delivered online-onscreen and is taught using a mix of interactive media, audio-visual, collaborative, and independent activities. S112 is designed to be taken as the second 60-credit Stage 1 module in a qualification, as it builds on existing study skills, maths skills, practical skills, and investigative skills.
