Shared Infrastructure Technical Lead Would you like to play a key role working on a large international project taking the initial T26 design and leading the work to adapt for the Australian Navy? We currently have a vacancy for a Shared Infrastructure Technical Lead at our New Malden site. As the Shared Infrastructure Technical Lead, you will be the technical lead on a large project providing guidance across a large team of people within SI for delivery of a system to Australia. Providing technical input across a number of areas including COTS based hardware and software and encompassing areas such as storage, networking, software development and general hardware aspects. This role is a high-profile role requiring significant design leadership experience - you will be the focal point for technical leadership for the design & delivery of this system. Your main responsibilities as a Shared Infrastructure Technical Authority will involve: Issue specifications, produce designs in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards, and carry out design appraisals in assigned areas to ensure all standards are maintained. Lead in complex technical analyses and investigations, including evaluation and selection of technical options, and issue reports with suggested recommendations to support the resolution of problems and the improvement of engineering capability. Lead investigations into operational problems or developments and develop and prepare technical solutions, individually or as a member of a project team. Act as the main point of contact with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on technical engineering matters, to resolve complex problems and issues and to maintain awareness in both parties of priorities and objectives. Support the identification & elaboration of business opportunities and the preparation of bids in area(s) of expertise to facilitate the development of the highest quality bids. Key support to the Hunter SI Design Certification activities including Safety & Environmental matters.
