Radiographer Band 5 - £25,100 to £31,649 pro rata Plus £1,074 Distant Islands Allowance pro rata 37.5 Hours per Week Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months We are looking for a highly motivated, hard working, enthusiastic Radiographer to work in our busy Radiology Department. The department provides imaging for a range of specialities - Respiratory, Oncology, Urology, Vascular, Orthopaedic, Gynecology, Peadiatrics etc. We are committed to providing the best care possible to our population - applicants should have understanding of Realistic Medicine and how this impacts Radiology. This position would be suitable for newly qualified Radiographers with an interest in remote and rural working. You will have the opportunity to work in a 'state of the art' department with a friendly team of Radiographers and Sonographers. The post will be based at the Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, with occasional visits to the Uist and Barra Hospital in Benbecula to provide short Radiography locums. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in DR, CR, Digital Fluoroscopy, and Multislice CT. There is an on call from home commitment with this post. The successful candidate will: * hold DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography * have good working experience in a wide range of diagnostic imaging investigations * have understanding of the specific challenges of remote and rural healthcare delivery * be able to work in a pressurised, acute environment * hold HCPC registration The successful applicants will be required to register with the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme).
