Job Description
Band 6 Radiographer Cross Sectional We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, committed Radiographer to join our Cross-sectional team, at a Trust rated as Good by the CQC. You must be patient focussed and motivated to deliver an exemplary service. This is a great opportunity to join our forward thinking and committed team in providing a high quality service to our local community. You will be expected to work as part of a team within the Cross-sectional imaging department and be committed to supporting the CT on-call. There will also be an expectation that you will contribute to providing an extended working day service within CT and MR where necessary, provided that you have the relevant skills and experience. Whilst previous experience in MR is essential, we will provide full training in CT. There is a fair rotation of staff through both CT and MR. We currently have 2 CT scanners, a Canon Aquilion Prime and a Siemens Emotion, and 1 MR Scanner, a GE 450W. Due to recent service expansion we have ambitions for further developments in the coming year, including the purchase of a new CT scanner. There is a cohesive Cross-sectional leadership team consisting of the CT lead, MR lead and 3 deputy leads that provide excellent provision and support for the development of their staff. We are a progressive department with a 4 tier staffing structure. We have 8 Advanced Practitioners in the Cross-sectional department, covering a variety of reporting including; CT Colonography, CT Brain, MRI Knee, MRI spine and MRI Brain. We are very patient-focussed, committed to audit and promote quality within the department. We are an Integrated Care organisation, who provide both hospital and community based services. We also have close links to neighbouring District Generals and Teaching Hospitals and there is some shared provision of Services in several subspecialty interests. We are a busy department, offering services to the Emergency Department, In-patients and out-patients. As such, experience in an acute setting in the NHS is desirable.
