The Role The recently formed Infrastructure and Technology function is seeking to hire a new "Inspirational thought leader" to lead the regional Infrastructure and Technology teams in order to create a "Build" and "Run" function that is fit for purpose with a high investment in technology. This exciting new role will be responsible for a team of 200 technologists accountable for the design, build and run of the day to day UK Infrastructure and technology teams covering all technology towers; compute, storage, middleware, database and networks etc. It will play a pivotal (and highly visible) role in the designing the roadmap and driving the technology agenda to maximum cloud capability and the transformation associated with such a programme whilst extending Experian's industry leadership position and reputation as a leader in innovation! Being able to "build" and "run" at scale within tight timeframes and commercial margins is a skill that requires a certain mindset - one of continuous improvement and tenacity to constantly challenge the "Status Quo! - Do you have this? We need an energetic individual who cares about their clients and the outcomes the underlying technology delivers on a 24x7 basis. Could this role be for you? We are looking for an individual who gets excited about technology, has a strong track record for delivering something from the ground up and is not frightened to roll their sleeves up. This is not a role for someone who is not comfortable with change at pace. This role encompasses a broad remit and will utilise your experience in building a similar scale 24/7 environment within a complex technologically driven business. You will lead on the strategy of change, to gain maximum agility to enable more products (and the innovation of) to reach market at the pace that both Experian and our customers/ consumers require.
