Job Description

We have an exciting new opportunity at the Trust for a Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) to provide clinical informatics leadership and be instrumental in transforming our digital agenda. The successful candidate will drive the implementation of our digital strategy through engagement and facilitation of staff ensuring the realisation of the benefits of health IT for our patients. The post holder will ensure that the implementation of the Trust's digital strategy: * Supports the clinical aims of the organisation * Improves outcomes for our patients, service users and staff * Contributes to the development of new models of care and the recommendations of the Trust's clinical service review and transformation plan * Drives continuous clinical process improvement focused on patient outcomes and efficiency The CCIO will be a practising medical/dental clinician with direct experience of using clinical information systems and previous experience of clinical process re-design. The post holder will be an active user of clinical information systems and will be passionate about using information technology and analytics to transform the delivery of healthcare and improve patient outcomes and experience. The post holder will work closely with the Chief Nursing Information Officer and the Senior Operational Lead. Whilst the post attracts 4PAs as CCIO, we would be keen to encourage and welcome a clinician who would like to also join our wider Medical Workforce team (attracting a further 6PAs) within the following specialties: Radiology, Gastroenterology, Stroke, Older Peoples Medicine, Dermatology or Anaesthetics.
