Requisition/Vacancy No.: 237571BR Job Category: Program and Project Management Job Summary: AECOM is currently seeking a Director Level Project Manager to be based in London. You will be part of the Healthcare Project Management team responsible for delivering Healthcare and Science/Research building projects. As a Director with AECOM you will be expected to lead on large multidisciplinary projects that are at the cutting edge of building design, ensuring the appropriate delivery strategy is adopted and controls are in place. You will coordinate with a wider regional & national team of experts to bring projects to close within time and budget. You will run project operations, be responsible for the financial performance of your projects and have oversight on all projects delivered by your team. You will directly line manage and will be expected to lead and mentor an established team of Project Managers. You will guide, advise and nurture junior team members ensuring they all have career development plans with SMART goals and regular performance reviews. You will be a key client contact and as such accountable for AECOM's performance, as such you will ensure that our standards are upheld and improved. You will lead business development activities for the team as well as contributing to strategically important opportunities in the region and the wider UK. You will have a sound understanding of the Healthcare/Science sectors with strong commercial acumen and a demonstrable track record of successfully leading bids and securing new work. About us: Our Healthcare team specialises is the delivery of large complex Healthcare and Research facilities across the UK. We are friendly, busy and committed with an established track record of successfully delivering both nationally important projects and local projects. Some of our flagship work in recent years include; The Guys Cancer Centre, UCLH Proton Beam Therapy Centre, Moorfields Eye Hospital, The Pirbright Institute's Plowright and Jenner Buildings, NPL Advanced Quantum Metrology Laboratory, The Quadram Institute. Operations: Lead significant Project Management Commissions (100m+), taking overall responsibility for their successful delivery. Provide oversight / strategic guidance /audit & review, to a portfolio of projects being lead within the cost centre. Manage the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed time-scales and quality standards. Take responsibility for the financial performance of your (and your teams) projects, maintaining and improving the profitability of your commissions. Team management: To be specifically responsible for business development/marketing tasks Provide effective Line Management to Associate Directors and Snr PMs Provide leadership within project management business and provide leadership and mentoring to the team Client facing: Be the primary interface with AECOM clients (New and Existing) To 'win' clients through strong business development skills Lead on bids (including management of bid process, contributors, fees, legal and commercial reviews) and contribute to strategically important bids. Quality control: Ensure all staff members in your team have current and relevant personal development plans tailored to their specific needs. Co-ordination and sign off on all management information produced by project management teams prior to issue Ensure all project performance reviews are undertaken on time and that projects are consistently monitored.
