We are looking for a Strategic Planning Manager to join our EMEA Transformation Team. This role will report to the EMEA Chief of Staff and will have direct responsibility for the Region's multi-year Strategic Plan and planning cycle, including interlocks with the Global Strategic Plan. The Strategic Planning Manager must have the ability to build strong and sustainable relationships across the organisation at all levels. This role incorporates both elements of: sole contributor; to develop cross-functional insights from market trends, customer insights and internally generated information, and coordinating indirect teams; to align Strategic Planning efforts across business units and functions. The individual in the role will be responsible for presenting forward-looking analysis and insights to Executive level, internal stakeholders, and for coordinating with the Communications team to ensure understanding of the EMEA Strategic Plan throughout the organisation. In addition, the Strategic Planning Manager drives select cross-functional initiatives stemming from the insight they develop, and conducts special studies as needed. He or she will have demonstrated the ability to deal with highly confidential information, as they have broad visibility of business performance, and on-going and planned growth & transformation activities. Working closely with many members of the Executive Team, this role has multiple career path options to grow into. This opportunity is meant to be a foundational starting point to develop and launch outstanding talent and future leadership into the organization. - Develop and drive The EMEA Strategic Planning cycle, and interlocks with the Global Strategic Planning team; - Prepare internal and external presentations including content for industry events, and strategic customer & partner meetings; - Develop tools, and market/ industry insights to strengthen long-term organizational agility; - Keep up with industry trends by reading literature and communicating with peers, and preparing executive briefs on business performance and industry/company updates; - Work with Strategic Planners/ Business Analysts embedded in the Product Offering teams Regionally & Globally to develop coordinated, insights based on market and technology trends; - Support and lead elements of EMEA, and geographic and functional Strategy Sessions; - Coordinate closely with peers in the FP&A team to integrate performance insights with market/ customer insights; - Drive long-term cross-functional projects, stemming from the Strategic Plan, leveraging teammembers across the business to establish the initiative before handing it off as business as usual; - Be a thought leader in the organisation, challenging the status quo, and building a deep understanding through broad curiosity about the customer, industry, market, competitor & Vertiv; - Self-motivated outgoing individual, capable of working in a quickly changing, competitive environment; - Ability to clearly convey complex market trends and insights to people at all levels; - Strong systemic, critical and strategic thinking - quickly identifies patterns among problems & issues, and able to identify alternatives; - Strong financial acumen and broad business skill set - capacity to drive for results by turning data analytics & insights into actionable strategies; - Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to structure a problem and lead complicated quantitative analysis; - Ability to effectively present strategies & financial data to senior management - Possessing an eye for detail while not losing the perception of the whole scenario; - Impeccable managerial and interpersonal skills.
